Donna Schwab (Scears), age 84, of Hamtramck, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026. She was a woman of immense warmth and sharp wit who filled her family’s lives with love, laughter, and incredible memories.

Born on April 15, 1942, Donna lived a life centered around the people she loved. She was famously known as a master in the kitchen, delighting her family with amazing, authentic Polish food that brought everyone together in her Hamtramck home. When she wasn’t cooking, Donna enjoyed a good game of cards, her cup of coffee, her favorite television shows and skillfully working her way through a word search. Her loving nature and quick-witted humor made her a joy to be around, and her spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Donna is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Tyszkowski; her six cherished grandchildren, Antoinette, Bobby, Joey, Robby, Angela, and Jennifer; and her seven adored great-grandchildren, Alexis, Samantha, Nevaeh, Maya, Devlin, Zaidyn, and Mason.

She was reunited in peace with her beloved daughter, Annette Scears, who preceded her in death in 2003.

In accordance with Donna’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. Her family will celebrate her life privately, remembering the joy, laughter, and love she brought to them all.
