Stanisława (Stella) Barbara Pszonka (age 83) neé Krupa
October 4, 1942 – May 17, 2026
Dear wife of the late Jan (1990) and loving mother of Thomas (Kristal) and Margaret (Matthew) Wyszczelski. Stella is the proud grandmother of Eleanor, Maxwell and Mason. She is predeceased by her parents: Julian and Anna, along with siblings: Zofia Bara and Maria Tluczek. Stella is also survived by her family in Poland with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In the late 1960’s a young man named Jan (John) an immigrant from Poland living in Detroit, made a decision to travel back to Poland in search of a wife; he was set up on a blind date with one of Stella’s sisters. The date did not work out, but Stella was intrigued and wanted to know more about this handsome young man from America. Their chemistry was undeniable and a wedding would shortly follow! Jan brought his new wife back to Detroit where they would begin their lives together. Jan worked hard as a factory worker, later embarking on starting his own business in home maintenance/brick work/carpentry. Stella was a stay-at-home mom raising two children in Hamtramck at the time but decided she wanted a career outside of the home. She became a proud employee of Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit! For the next 30 years she worked in Central Reprocessing where she was responsible for sterilizing surgical instruments and assembling surgical trays. She took great pride in her work, retiring shortly before her second grandchild Max was born.
Upon her retirement, Stella enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially her grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren more than anything and made every effort to be at school and sporting events supporting them. She delighted in teaching them how to make pierogi and looked forward to making cookies with them every Christmas. She was also an avid gardener who anticipated the coming of Spring when she could begin picking out her flowers. She loved to sew, doing her crossword puzzles, would always cook to feed an army and loved watching soccer (especially when Max and Mason were playing).
Stella was content in leading a quiet, simple, peaceful life; God and family were always her priority.
In remembrance of Stella, the family requests you say a rosary or offer a mass in her name at a parish of your choice.

Dear Gosia & Matt and Tom & Kristal,
Pani Stasia was a beautiful, kind, caring, generous, special lady. We are sad and stunned at her sudden passing. She has been a part of many joyful times with our family including Frankenmuth trips, Stony Creek picnics and milestone celebrations. Her holiday meals were absolutely delicious and plentiful! May God now take care of her in Heaven and may he comfort all of you with peace. We loved her and we love you.
