Rich will be deeply missed by his Hamtramck family. He was a life long public servant and a good man.
The Dobek family has always been a fixture on Mitchell St in Hamtramck. Growing up with Rich and the family was always a pleasant experience. One thing that stands out for me is when my uncle passed away and was recruited by my mother to give the news to my grandmother. Because of my inability to speak Polish I didn’t know if I could give the sad news to Bushia. Fortunately Rich’s mom (Pauline) who lived across the street from Bushia came over and helped. I’ll never forget what she did for me. Rich was the same, always helping others. To dedicate 56 years to a volunteer organization says everything about the man. Eternal rest grant onto him, and let the perpetual light shine upon him. Rest in Peace.
