Catherine Krukowski neé Hess (age 75)
September 14, 2023
Cathy was born March 8, 1948, in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Henry Hess and Imogene Hess.
Cathy is survived by her husband Philip Krukowski and son Philip M. Krukowski; her sister Belinda (late Roger) Miner; Sister in Laws Karen (late Tony) Krukowski, Patricia Krukowski and Lisa (late Mark) Hess; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also proceeded in death by her brother William, his wife Marilyn, and her brother Michael.
In her early years, Cathy worked as a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital and as a clerk for National Bank of Detroit.
Mrs. Cathy, as she was known by all, loved her time working for the Hamtramck Public Schools. She cherished the friendships and memories that she created with her fellow staff members and the students that passed by her desk each day. She would never turn down a child in need of advice, food or even the occasional pair of shoes.
Cathy was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed taking family trips and spending time with all those that she loved. She happily listened to Country and Celtic music as she worked on her countless craft projects. Some of her favorite times were spent baking holiday cookies with her husband and painting ceramics with her son. Cathy always loved sneaking treats and food to her puppy pal Murry. Cathy loved every person that came into her life and would unselfishly do everything within her power to make sure that everyone felt happy and loved.

Love & Miss you Auntie! I will never forget all of the summer time sleepovers growing up! The late nights of trivial pursuit, Elvis movies, and musicals! You’re also the reason why I love Anne rice novels and other gothic horror story books! Plus all the late night snack runs we had Uncle Phil do for us! I will forever treasure those moments in time! Love you so! Soar high & free Auntie❤️
So sorry to hear. We all loved Ms Cathy at KMS❤️
I have so many wonderful memories of my friendship with Cathy. She was a beautiful person both inside and out and thank God for him sharing her with me. How could I ever forget our many Up North trips. I love you girl.
Thankyou for the Paper Route you gave my son so many years ago. I was one of your classmates 1966. Rest in Peace
