John Richard Czoykowski (age 93)
March 4, 1929  –  February 11, 2023

Loving husband of 24 years to Patty (nee Bandyszewski), and husband of Virginia (nee Wojtowicz, 1951-97, d. 2005).  Survived by his children of his first marriage: Susan (Thomas) Conner, John F. (Stella), Kathryn (David) McMorrow, Jennifer (John) Witkowski, and Robert (Jennifer) Czajkowski and his sister Kathleen (David) Engelhardt of Cheboygan, MI.  John is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  He is proceeded in death by his parents John S. and Genevieve of Centerline Mi, and sisters Marion (Ed) Drziewiecki and Loretta (Sam) Morabito.

John was a retired pattern maker for Chrysler at the Highland Park Headquarters.  He served in the Unites States Navy for four years during the Korean war era.  Outside of his Naval service John lived his entire life in Hamtramck MI.  He was an avid builder and flyer of model gliders and a longtime member of the Balsa Bugs Model Aviation Club.  He Loved the active outdoor life including sailing, ice-boating, and camping, especially at Higgins Lake.

Private services were held and inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
