Olander “Lonnie” Lewis (age 62)

Olander Lewis II 62 (Lonnie) as he was affectionately known was born on November 20, 1959, to Olander Lewis Sr. and Mamie Lewis in Detroit MI. whom both preceded him in death.
Lonnie was the middle child with an older sister, Diane Lewis who preceded him in death, and Reynauld Lewis his younger brother. Lonnie attended the Detroit Public Schools and accepted Christ at an early age. Lonnie passed away peacefully in Hospice at Receiving Hospital in Detroit, Mi. on January 12, 2022.
He leaves to cherish his memory his step-mother Rose Moss and his step-brother Donald Moss and family, brother Reynauld Lewis, his nieces Audi Larkins and Jasmine Majors of Detroit, MI. His nephews, Robert Lewis, Donald Lewis, James Coleman and Edward Coleman, his cousins, Brian Patton, Ricky Patton, Corey Patton all of Detroit, MI. Samantha Simmons, Tony Ray Simmons and Ezekial Simmons all of Belvidere, Illinois, Brandon Simmons of Ann Arbor, MI. Aunts Marguerite King, Sylvia Coleman and Gladys Patton-Mitchell all of whom preceded him in death, aunts Ann Maire Dickens (Linwood) of Chipley, Florida, Arline Simmons of Belvidere, Illinois, Dale Calhoun (Lewis) of Detroit MI. And a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

It’s with a heavy heart I have to announce the passing of my nephew, “Lonnie” whom recently passed away. He was so handsome and charming. He had the prettiest hazel color eyes. I know all the ladies he came across was crazy about him. He will truly be missed. His funeral Services will be at Jurkiewicz & Wilk Funernal Home 2396 Caniff St. Hamtramck, MI. 48212 Wednesday. Mar. 16. 2022 at 12:00 Noon.
