Lawrence W. Kessler (age 80)

Lawrence William Kessler – age 80, of Shelby Township, passed away peacefully on Monday August 9, 2021 while in hospice care due to complications from a stroke.
He was born in Hamtramck on March 21, 1941, son of the late William and Helen Kessler. Larry will be sadly missed by his wife Carolyn, siblings Joan Barrios and Geraldine Kessler, nephew and godson Chester (Jill) Stefankiewicz, 7 other nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces/nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his first spouse Vicki; sisters Barbara Stefankiewicz and Susan Kessler and his very beloved pet poodle “Buddy”.
He is an alumnus of Hamtramck High, Class of 1959, where he was the big, tough tackle
on the COSMOS football team.
Private services were held by the family and a celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date for friends and family.
Larry you were loved in life by many and will be greatly missed.
