Linda Ward (age 44)
February 11, 2026
Linda Ward, beloved family member and friend, prolific artist, world traveler, and devoted dog mom, passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 44. Her passing is a profound loss to all who knew and loved her.
She was born on August 27, 1981 in Southfield, MI, and raised in East Tawas along the shores of Lake Huron. Though she grew up in a picturesque lakeside town, she was a city girl at heart.
She will be remembered as a vibrant and insightful woman whose creativity, warmth, and adventurous spirit touched many lives —and who held a deep and enduring love for pasta.
An artist first and foremost, Linda expressed herself through her work with passion and boundless imagination. Her art reflected the depth of her spirit —bold, thoughtful, and alive with feeling. She found inspiration wherever she traveled, carrying those experiences into both her creative work and her personal life. Through her journeys, she cultivated friendships across the world and lovingly nurtured her family’s ancestral ties to Italy.
The outpouring of support from the community she built stands as a testament to the generosity and care she extended so freely throughout her life.
She is survived by her beloved dogs, Coco and Benji; her brothers, David Ward and Jason Ward; her sister-in-law, Sandra Ward; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Estephanie Ward, Steven Ward, Willow Ward, Victor Ward, Fletcher Ward, and Jarett Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanette and Ronald Ward, and her sister-in-law, Dafne Ward.
Her spirit lives on in the art she created, the music she loved, and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made out to David Ward and sent to the funeral home in Linda’s honor.

Sorry
Linda was such a wonderful person. Her exuberance, spirit, artistic talent, knowledge, and drive to accomplish the things closest to her heart were immeasurable. She touched so many lives, always offering a warm smile and a grounded, down-to-earth perspective.
She brought people together through techno parties, brightened lives with her art, and supported while leading by example within the Hamtramck community. She designed websites, helped shape user interfaces in Ford vehicles, and poured herself into anything she set her mind to.
Her absence leaves holes in many hearts — and a very big one in mine.
May you now be at peace, Linda. ❤️
❤️❤️ Well said!
You will never be forgotten dear cousin. Can still hear your contagious laugh. So happy to hear your voice just a week prior wishing we had the chance to have met up for that overdue dinner. May you be at peace and rest easy. Much love ️
I’m so sorry I am with few words knowing how difficult this feels and all the questions left in it’s wake. I pray for God’s comfort to embrace your family so healing can soften the pain. With much love and prayers, Lisa
