A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date

My baby sister, my best friend, my other half. I love you.
I had the opportunity to get to know Pam over the last couple of years and celebrated some holidays with her and Chris/Erin. She had a positive energy surrounding her and almost always had a smile on her face, remembering her laughing when we all were talking about a funny topic. I believe she thoroughly enjoyed being around family and loved ones. She was also a smart woman and had many interesting conversations with her. I am honored to have known her and be part of Chris’s family.
Pam, I send you peace, love and harmony on the other side. And thank you for all the humans and animals you loved, cared for and helped out along your journey here on this amazing planet we live on.
Learning of Pam’s passing has created a void, and deep sadness for myself and others involved with the Detroit Hamtramck Coalition For Advancing Healthy Environments, of which she was a longtime and important member.
She was a fearless, founding and core member of the Coalition to Oppose the Expansion of US Ecology (hazardous waste processing facility), and a fierce, protective fighter for the health and wellbeing for the community.
She took every opportunity to take part in standing strong and resisting the polluting powers and the system that allowed these powers to act without accountability. She was always there to speak truth to power, whether in direct discussions, through public comments, attending demonstrations, or artistically, in making signs for actions.
Her focus and dedication toward justice was inspiring, and she will be dearly missed and not forgotten. I imagine that now, as an ancestor, she will be continuing to look after us, as we continue the fight.
Rest in Power, Pam.
