Kazimierz Baciak (age 99)
March 17, 2026

Kazimierz Baciak, age 99, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family.

Loving husband of the late Jadwiga and dear father of Jan (Ilona) and grandfather of Matthew (Brittani) and Phillip (Brittany).  He was the proud great grandfather of Violet, Eliza, and Lila.  He is also survived by his sisters: Stefania and Genowefa.  He is predeceased by his brother Edward.

He was born on August 14, 1926, in Michigan, a place he was always proud to call his birthplace. He was so proud that one of the very few phrases he knew in English was, “I was born in Michigan”. His father also served in the US Army during World War I and faught in the Battle of Verdun. A fact he made sure was woven into the Baciak family’s legacy. During the Great Dpression, when he was about 5 years old, his family relocated to Poland. He was raised there, enduring the hardships of the German occupation, and later communist rule—experiences that shaped his resilience, strength, and deep appreciation for freedom and family.

Kazimierz was a devout Catholic whose faith guided him throughout his life. He was a loving brother to his three siblings, a selfless and devoted father, a proud grandfather, and an adoring great-grandfather. His family was the center of his world, and he found his greatest joy in being surrounded by them. He was a loving husband to Jadwiga, who passed away in 2012. They were married for 55 years and will be laid to rest together in Poland.

Known for his warm spirit, Kazimierz smiled every day and radiated that joy to everyone around him. Kazimierz will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love he gave so freely, happiness he shared so genuinely,  and the legacy of family and faith he leaves behind.

If you prefer to make a donation in lieu of flowers, a contribution in Kazimierz’s name will be made to a Catholic charity in Poland. Please make donations via this link:  https://venmo.com/code?user_id=2186015938707456857&created=1773933330
