Thomas Kreps (age 72)
December 28, 1952 – March 7, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Thomas Walter Kreps on March 7, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on December 28, 1952, in Hamtramck, Michigan, Tom passed away peacefully in Clinton Township, Michigan.

Tom is survived by his devoted wife, Donna, with whom he shared nearly 50 beautiful years of marriage. He was a proud and loving father to Douglas & Aimee, Daniel & Heather, and Jessica & Weston. His greatest joy was being “Bah” to his beloved grandchildren, Henry, Finnley, Olivia, and Baby M, who adored him and will carry his love and lessons forward in their lives.

Tom was also a cherished brother to Sharon & Jerry, Debbie & Don, Mickey & Dave, Michael & Marmie, Adrienne & Larry, and Lisa & Jeff. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and countless friends whose lives he touched.

Tom had a long and respected career as a respiratory therapist & salesman, where he made a lasting impression on the many hospitals he worked with through his professionalism, charm, and genuine care for others. He was known for his quick wit, his booming voice, and his ability to light up any room — leaving everyone laughing, often to the point of tears.

Beyond his work, Tom enjoyed all kinds of music, playing his accordion, the arts, working & being outside, golfing and was a loyal Detroit Tigers fan. But more than anything, he treasured the time spent with his family. Whether it was a simple gathering at home or a lively family event, Tom’s presence always brought joy and laughter.

A Celebration of Life will take place in June with family and friends. Donations can be made in Tom’s honor to the Michigan Humane Society, a cause close to his heart.

Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew him — his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. His legacy of love and laughter will remain forever.
