It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved aunt, Victoria Hayat Salamas, who left us peacefully at the age of 88 on June 26th 2024. Aunt Vickie remained vibrant and active until her final days, a testament to her zest for life and indomitable spirit.

Born on February 16, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, Aunt Vickie’s energy, enthusiasm and sense of humor  were an inspiration to all who knew her, and her positive outlook on life will be missed. She is survived by her three devoted nephews, Michael, Jonathan, and David, seven great nieces and one great nephew who adored her deeply and will carry her memory in their hearts. Aunt Vickie was very active in her community of Grosse Pointe Park and was an inspiration for those who knew her. She spent many years volunteering at Bon Secours hospital in Grosse Pointe and remained very active up until her passing. One of her favorite sayings was “health is wealth” and she truly lived by this maxim.

A private family service will be held to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to a local hospital or charity of your choice.

Rest in peace, dear Aunt Vickie. Your legacy of humor and vitality will forever inspire us.
