Eleanore was an amazing person. She was an incredibly kind and gifted teacher too. I am truly blessed to have had her a part of my life for many years. May she have eternal rest in God’s Kingdom.
She was a wonderful teacher. I have never forgotten her. She will always be remembered. May she rest in peace.❤️
Oh No! I owe my engineering career to her fostering my interest in math and computer science (with Math Club), my social and artistic hobbies to her fostering my interest in film (with Movie Club), and despite my ruthless teasing that she played banjo, bluegrass is one of my favorite music styles today. Her quotes are so memorable! She once told me “Many people can DO calculus, but I think you will be one of the few that will actually understand it”. N.B. on a blackboard is Latin for “Note well”. We would say that we forgot, and she’d say “You neglected to remember.” We might be distracted and talking in class and she’d say “there is a time and place for everything (but now is not the time and place for that)”—then we’d come up with some outrageous thing that we thought there is no time and place for like telling jokes in a nursing home and 40 years we are doing it and remember “well I guess there IS a time and place for everything”. She made me teach part of a class one day from Math Club, which got me thinking “maybe I could do this someday”. You will be missed, Ms Hausner.
Eleanore was a wonderful woman, an inspiration and an absolute gem. Rest easy, Ms. Hausner.
She truly was a wonderful teacher and a wonderful woman. She was by far my favorite. I studied chemistry at U of M because of her. Nota Bene Rest easy and Rest well, Ms Hausner. An inspiration.
