Martha Bischoff (age 60)

Martha Mary Bischoff was a talented hairdresser, loyal friend and a sister to seven siblings. She died at home in Hamtramck over Labor Day weekend. She was 60.
She grew up in suburban Detroit as the fifth of eight kids, graduated from Troy High School in 1983 and became a licensed beautician. She lived and worked in the Detroit area and was the long-time partner to Albert Grable. Her friends called her Marty.
She is survived by her siblings: Peter of Oshkosh, Wisc., Jean Moran of Columbus, Ohio, Joyce of Boston, Paul (Jeanette) of Hot Springs, Calif., Laura (Dan Schlichting) of Columbus, Amelia Habicht of Ithaca, NY, and Matthew of Denver, Colo. She is survived by nieces and nephews: Melissa, Tom, Anna, Daniel, Matthew, Jamie, Kevin, Peter and Cadence.
Martha was preceded in death by her father Thomas, mother Patricia Shaughnessy Straub, stepfather Paul Straub and nephew Thom Moran and brother-in-law Oliver Habicht.
A memorial service will be held by the Bischoff family at a later date.
I started a GoFundMe page for Martha’s long time partner Albert Grable. For the last 4 year’s Al was Marty’s caregiver and could not work out of the home.
